How to Massage Article

Learning how to massage is actually very simple. Learning how to give a great massage, that's another issue. Over the last several years, having received and given thousands of massages, I got really curious as to what makes for a great massage. People were frequently complementing me on my skill level and telling me it was 'world class'. They implied I had some sort of 'gift'. But I starting wondering if other therapists were getting similar results and if not, then why not.

And after years of trying to figure it out, it finally dawned on me. It wasn't me, or it wasn't my gift, it was something more tangible. Something that can be taught and not in years or months or days, but literally in about an hour. Something actually I think nearly everyone on the planet can learn, even if, in the past, you thought you have all left thumbs.

After years of trial and error, we began to really refine and teach both a simple, but life changing, philosophy and a handful of well chosen and specific techniques. We were then able to distill these concepts into very distinct, finite easy-to-learn lessons to literally show people how to massage.

To be honest, you don't need to learn 500 different techniques to give a great massage. How would you possibly remember them all? And I certainly don't think you have to watch 6 DVD's or study for thousands of hours. Actually, in my humble opinion, the best massage therapists, when it comes right down to it, only use a handful of techniques.

So we decided to only offer the essentials, only what you needed to learn to give an amazing massage. In fact, we only teach 7 techniques. That's it. And we've made them simple to remember and easy to learn.

Now with those 7 carefully chosen techniques, you can create thousands of highly enjoyable and amazing combinations. How? Very simple. Do you remember the song 'Ode to Joy' written by Beethoven. That wonderful little song is really only based on 5 notes. But when played in different combinations and different speeds and tempos and volume, it creates a wonderful masterpiece. More often than not, the most beautiful pleasures in life are often the most simplest.

Learning how to massage is the exact same way, we will show you how to combine 7 easy, but immensely powerful techniques to create your own symphony, your own masterpiece. By applying different pressures, different speeds and different strokes using those 7 techniques, you'll be giving a great massage in no time. From there, the sky is the limit, you can explore the rest of the canvas with confidence knowing that you have mastered the basics for how to give a great massage.

Now, besides the techniques, there is another essential component and frequently overlooked attitude to giving a great massage. And that attitude can be broken down into two parts. Knowing and having that attitude will help you give the one thing I think our bodies want and desire deep down. We cover this necessary mindset in detail inside the lessons. It can literally change your life and the world around you.

So, thank you for reading this article and we invite you to play and have fun not only learning how to massage, but learning how to give a great massage!
